We kindly expect you to our Science Tuesday at Barlova bar on January 15 at 7 PM. This time we will be talking about the exciting expetition of Estonian researchers to Réunion Island.
In November, Estonian researchers went on an expedition to Réunion Island where they hoped to collect valuable scientific material. The locals, however, did not agree with them. So the researchers had to face rebellious locals, fear of hunger and thirst, big dreadful predators and erupting volcanoes. At least that's what the stories say.
But what really happened on that island and how did the researchers solve their problems? You can hear all about it from the primary source: Bird Ecology Researcher at University of Tartu Marko Mägi, who defied the dangers and got back home safely.
Come think along and discuss the topic in a cosy environment!
Musical intermissions will be played by Karl Kruuse.
