Barlova Science Night is about Solaride

Armin Mere, the electronics team leader, and Artur Salumäe, the firmware team leader, who have just returned from Australia, will tell us more about the journey of Solaride and who are the solariders.

A few weeks ago, Solaride was the first team from the Baltics to take part in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, bringing home third place in its class and a special prize for the best result in the technical inspection.

Solaride was born in 2020 from the initiative of two University of Tartu students to build the first solar car in the Baltics. In just a few years, Solaride has become an ambitious educational and collaborative project involving over 300 high school students, students, mentors, trainers and partners.

Musical interludes by the Tartu Observatory house band. 

The science evening series is organized by Tartu Observatory of the University of Tartu. These evenings combine the fresh science news from University of Tartu, music with a pleasant company and atmosphere. Science evenings take place once a month.

Admission to the science evening is free!
