Inland water remote sensing community will discuss future collaboration at the observatory

27.09.2019

Next Monday and Tuesday, the inland water remote sensing community working on the Horizon 2020 project EOMORES (Earth Observation-based Services for Monitoring and Reporting of Ecological Status of waterbodies) will gather at the UT Tartu Observatory to discuss future collaboration.

The EOMORES project is based on cooperation between companies, European scientific institutes and end-users. The aim of the project is to develop services for monitoring inland and coastal waters based on Earth Observation (EO) data.

Tartu Observatory water remote sensing group has been collaborating with the Centre for Limnology of the Estonian University of life Sciences to provide EO-based thematic maps and time series of optical water quality parameters over Estonian lakes. During the workshop, the consortium will discuss the state of the art EO products and data based services, as well as the collaboration with present and future end-users.
