Partners of Earth observation data project BalticSatApps meet in Tartu

Next week, on November 14 and 15, the BalticSatApps project partners meet in Tartu to discuss previous work and talk about upcoming activities.

The project aims at speeding up the market uptake of Earth observation satellite data in the Baltic Sea Region by utilising societal challenges and needs along with the developer community as innovation drivers.

On the first day of the meeting, the topics will be related to strategy: the identification of what things the project should do and who to reach. The second day will be related to tactics: the identification of how the things should be done. The partners will also visit the UT Tartu Observatory.

More information can be found on the BalticSatApps webpage.

The participants of the BalticSatApps project come from Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Poland and Russia. Besides the UT Tartu Observatory, Tartu Science Park is also a partner from Estonia.

BalticSatApps increases awareness about the data provided by the Copernicus programme, improves access to the data, and stimulates demand and innovation through co-creation and iterative development methodologies. The project also develops acceleration programmes focusing on Earth observation business.

The project is part of the Interreg programme which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The aim of the programme is to stimulate cooperation between member states of the European Union on different levels.
