The KosEST project is developing the ground infrastructure for space research in Estonia. The goal is to increase the international competitiveness of local scientific and development activities and participate in pan-European research initiatives.

The project will create infrastructure in Estonia that supports the country's ability to participate in ESA missions for science and technology development. As a result, a comprehensive ground measurement structure will be built. It enables testing of small space technology and remote sensing equipment, optical calibration, and ground-based observations of the northern sky. The infrastructure will be opened for shared use by research and development institutions for their projects. Companies and international partners can purchase infrastructure services.
