The stars shine brightly in Tõravere. Estonia has approximately 50 clear nights a year, but the stars of Tõravere are present every evening. These are the stars of science, whose research and discoveries have significantly enhanced our understanding of the universe.

On 22 October, doctoral researchers of the University of Tartu have an opportunity to introduce their research results to the public in the format of a three-minute short lecture.

On April 28 at 7 PM, the guest at the Barlova Science Evening will be Associate Professor Andu Rämmer from the University of Tartu's Youth Studies. We will discuss the factors that shape our values and the study of values.

On April 4 at 19 cosmologist Taavi Tuvikene will talk about how names are given to stars.

On March 17 at 19:00 we will discuss with Mark Fišel, the Professor of Language Technology at the University of Tartu about the challenges and possibilities of teaching language to computers.

Doctoral studies offer the chance to become an expert in a narrow field while also developing the skills of making connections and the ability to process information, manage challenging projects, learn from criticism, and, at the same time, manage time efficiently.

On 11 February, the University of Tartu Library hosts the Estonian Doctoral School’s career conference “The value of a doctoral degree on the job market” where top professionals with a doctoral degree and current doctoral students discuss the added value of doctoral studies.

From February 12 to March 23, a traveling exhibition about female astronomers is open at the White Hall of the University of Tartu Museum.
